3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Quez Watkins has been working with the first-team offense in practice as the slot receiver. He's been one of the most impressive players on the Eagles offense throughout training camp and the preseason according to multiple Eagles beat writers. Greg Ward started in the slot last season and was the favorite to reprise that role this year, but the emergence of Watkins may cause a change of plans. Jalen Reagor and rookie DeVonta Smith are locked into starting roles on the outside, but Watkins could make some noise in his slot role if the Eagles offense clicks this season.
