7 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers is having a very good spring with two home runs and a .345 average. Manager Alex Cora is preaching aggressiveness this spring, which Devers has no trouble accomplishing. Devers swung at 50 percent of pitches last season, 38.5 percent of which were out of the zone. Cora does not want to remove the aggressiveness from Devers, he just wants him to have more controlled at-bats. If Devers can improve the quality of his at-bats, there is no doubt he will improve upon his rookie stats of a .283 average with 20 home runs.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
