Rafael Devers Could Make Spring Training Debut on Friday
5 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers could potentially make his Grapefruit League debut on Friday against the Twins. The 23-year-old arrived late at spring training camp because of the birth of his second daughter in the Dominican Republic, causing him to miss the start of the Red Sox exhibition schedule. Devers is coming off of a dominant breakout season in 2019, as he recorded totals of 32 home runs, 115 RBI, 129 runs scored, a .311 batting average, .361 OBP, .916 OPS, eight stolen bases and an American League best 54 doubles through 156 games. Devers is one of the top players at his position and the third-year infielder will be an early-round draft selection across all fantasy formats.
