6 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, one run scored, and four RBI against the Mariners Friday night. After hitting no home runs in the first few weeks of the season, Devers has hit two in the past two weeks. He’s also hitting for average, as evidenced by his .314/.390/.436 slash with a surprising four stolen bases. This is the Devers that the Sox have been waiting for. Not only is he hitting well this year, he’s also hitting lefties to the tune of a .268/.286/.341 slash, which is much improved from last year. His fantasy manager has likely noticed his massive improvement, but if they’re dissatisfied with the power output, it could be a good time to buy. Especially if manager Alex Cora moves him up the order again.--Zach Alexander
