5 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers finished 2-for-5 with three runs batted in during Friday's victory over the Los Angeles Angels. Devers notched a two-RBI single in the sixth inning before slugging his 24th homer of the year in the eighth. In August, Devers has just seven hits, but four of them have gone for extra bases, including three homers. However, he has also struck out 12 times in 42 at-bats. It would be impossible for him to continue the hot streak he went on through July, but Devers has proven to be able to mash at any time.
