6 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers collided hard with Cubs catcher Victor Caratini in Monday's game, which resulted in a right knee bruise, according to Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe. It was originally believed to be worse than it actually turned out to be, as Devers was down for a little bit after the collision before being able to walk off on his own accord. It is also reassuring that the team is not sending him for an MRI and manager Alex Cora expects Devers to be fine for Opening Day. The Red Sox have averted another scare.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
