Rafael Devers Not In Friday's Lineup
2 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers is not in the starting lineup on Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays. It will be his first day off since returning from the injured list back on Aug. 2. It's a good time for a rest, as Devers has hit just .202 (17-for-84) this month with three home runs, 10 RBI, six runs scored and 15 strikeouts in 21 games. The 25-year-old is still hitting .300 on the season, though, and remains one of the best all-around hitters in the game. Christian Arroyo is starting at the hot corner and is hitting fifth on Friday against Rays right-hander JT Chargois. Arroyo has been very valuable to Boston as a utility player this year, and he's hitting .341 (15-for-44) with no homers, six RBI and six runs scored in 11 games over the last 14 days. He's not a bad low-cost DFS target.
