4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert (ankle) and wide receiver Deebo Samuel (hamstring) are expected to return to the field for the team's Week 12 matchup against the Rams, per head coach Kyle Shanahan. While Mostert had already been confirmed out for Sunday's outing versus New Orleans, the inclusion of Samuel to this group likely means that he'll miss said contest as well. With the 49ers having a bye during Week 11, it'll give both players additional time to heal. With Mostert unavailable in the backfield, Tevin Coleman and Jerick McKinnon are likely to share ball carrying duties, although JaMycal Hasty also looms as an option. The trio of Brandon Aiyuk, Richie James, and Trent Taylor all stand to benefit from Samuel's absence against the Saints, as they are the only three WR's on the active roster who don't carry an injury designation.--Jesse Borek
