4 years agoThere is a possibility that San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert (knee) is cleared to return in time for Sunday’s contest versus Miami. Mostert has missed each of his team’s past two games due to a sprained MCL, ceding backfield duties to a group that has primarily been headlined by Jerick McKinnon. Having recorded both a rushing and receiving touchdown already this season, Mostert would likely reclaim RB1 duties for the 49ers upon his return. Head coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that Week 6 against the Rams was the likeliest date that he expected to have Mostert back, but it’s worth checking back throughout the week to see if his health can take a turn for the better and beat his projected return by a week.--Jesse Borek
