Raiders Confident Antonio Brown Will Play Week 1

5 years agoWhen Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden was asked about wide receiver Antonio Brown's likelihood of playing in Week 1, he responded with a confident "oh yeah." There has been no timetable set for when the 31-year-old veteran will return to the practice field, however, but the team is just thankful he's finally returned to their preseason complex in Napa. Brown and quarterback Derek Carr worked extensively in the offseason building chemistry, although it would certainly be nice to see the duo get more reps in together before taking the field in the regular-season opener. He will continue to collect a ton of volume in his new offense, but off-field issues continue to lurk, making him a risky target in the second round.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
