Raimel Tapia Reaches Twice In Return To The Lineup
3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia went 1-for-3 with a single and a walk in a 4-3 loss to the Texas Rangers on Monday. Tapia was making his return to the lineup after missing the last three weeks with a right big toe injury. He was consistently batting out of the leadoff spot prior to his injury but Connor Joe has usurped that role in his absence. Tapia was hitting out of the seven-hole on Monday and reached twice in four plate appearances. The 27-year-old outfielder was having a solid season before getting hurt, slashing .288/.340/.386 with five home runs, 45 RBI, and 19 stolen bases over 399 at-bats. He can still provide fantasy value despite hitting down in the lineup.
