6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price pitched six innings, allowing just one run, on three hits, while striking out six, and walking one against Cleveland Tuesday. Price exited the game with a 3-0 lead before Boston's bullpen went onto to give up seven runs in the final two frames, costing the lefty, and the team a victory. A one hour and nine minute rain delay didn't affect the 33-year-old, as he hurled his third scoreless outing of the season, not including his previous start where he lasted just three batters due to flu-like symptoms. In 96 pitches, he threw 65 strikes and his fastball touched 93 mph. He still sits at 2-2 with a 2.83 ERA, while a 53:11 K:BB hints that his control is also just fine through nine starts. He'll get a tough road matchup with the Yankees Sunday, where he'll need to continue to keep the ball in the yard to give the Sox a chance.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
