Raisel Iglesias Blows First Save Of Season
7 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Raisel Iglesias blew his first save of the 2018 season on Tuesday as he coughed up the game-tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Iglesias wound up working two-third of an inning, allowing one run on two walks and a hit while striking out one. It was a rare poor performance for Iglesias, who has become one of the more reliable relievers in MLB over the past two seasons. Iglesias is now three of four in save chances with a 1.74 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 10 1/3 innings of work. Iglesias would be getting more buzz as one of baseball's premiere closers if the Reds afforded him more save opportunities. Look for him to bounce back in his next save chance.
