Raisel Iglesias Blows Save Friday
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels closer Raisel Iglesias blew his fourth save of the season while also taking the loss on Friday night against the Minnesota Twins. He gave up one run with no strikeouts or walks while allowing an inherited runner to score from first base. It was his first blown save since June 11. Iglesias has been a bright spot in an Angels bullpen that has combined for a 4.83 ERA which ranks them 25th in the league. He's saved 20 games and posted a 3.45 ERA with a 38.4 K% and 4.7 BB%. If the Angels decide to sell, he's one of their most attractive trade chips and could get moved before the deadline. Depending on where he goes, he may lose out on save chances if the team already has a steady closer. For now, Iglesias is in no danger of losing the Angels closer's job and will continue to get the bulk of the save chances.
