Raisel Iglesias Collects Seventh Save
6 years agoCincinnati Reds closer Raisel Iglesias pitched a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to collect his seventh save of the season. It wasn't easy for Iglesias, who allowed a walk and a double but induced a pop-up with the tying run on second to secure the win for the Reds. It's been a disappointing season for Iglesias, who still sports a ghastly 4.34 ERA to go with his five losses thus far this season. Earlier in the week, Iglesias openly complained about his usage as a non-traditional closer, so it was good for fantasy owners to see him called upon to start the ninth with a two-run lead. For all his struggles, Iglesias still is striking out over a third of batters faced and is the best bet for saves in the Reds bullpen. He's a solid buy-low option for those struggling to fill saves.
