Raisel Iglesias Earns The Save Saturday
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels reliever Raisel Iglesias pitched the ninth inning of the 4-2 victory over the Houston Astros, securing his 31st save of the season. The score was 4-1 when he entered the inning, but with one out, he allowed a single, a walk, and then a double, which plated one run. Iglesias escaped the jam, though, getting Jose Altuve to strike out and Chas McCormick to pop out. It was the first run he's surrendered since August 12, and he now owns a 2.71 ERA, 38.7 K%, 4.5 BB%, and 0.89 WHIP over 63 innings. He's been one of the best closers all season, and should he be started in all formats, providing value in most categories.
