Raisel Iglesias Nails Down First Save
7 years agoCincinnati Reds closer Raisel Iglesias locked down his first save of the season on Monday, preserving a 1-0 win over the Chicago Cubs. Iglesias notched a four-out save, walking one and striking out two without allowing a hit. It was a nice bounce back after he allowed the Nationals to score a run in a non-save situation in his season debut on Sunday. The save locked down the Reds' first win of the season, improving their record to 1-3. Iglesias has loads of strikeout potential but he won't be an elite-level closer unless his team affords him more save chances. That looks unlikely to happen this season, as the Reds probably will spend most of the season in the National League Central cellar.
