Raisel Iglesias Picks Up First Save
4 years agoCincinnati Reds closer Raisel Iglesias tossed a scoreless ninth inning to notch his first save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Cleveland Indians on Monday. Iglesias struck out two in the frame. It was an encouraging outing for Iglesias, who had allowed three runs in his 3 1/3 innings of work coming into the game. The veteran closer now has a 1-1 record, 6.23 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and eight strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings. Iglesias has plenty of strikeout upside and should get a chance to rack up some saves while closing for a much better Reds team than onlookers have seen in the past few years.
