Raisel Iglesias To Reject Qualifying Offer
3 years agoFree-agent relief pitcher Raisel Iglesias is expected to turn down the $18.4 million qualifying offer extended to him by the Los Angeles Angels and instead take his chances on the open market. This decision does not come as a surprise, as the 31-year-old performed very well in 2021, posting a 2.57 ERA and 0.93 WHIP with 34 saves in 65 appearances. Iglesias is expected to receive strong interest, and it would be reasonable to expect he'll land a multi-year deal. Wherever he ends up, he should be a locked-in top-10 fantasy closer entering the 2022 season.
