Ramon Laureano Pushes Hit Streak To 16 Games
6 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 4-2 road win against the Los Angeles Angels as he pushed his hitting streak to 16 games, the longest active streak in the majors. He is 23-for-63 (.365) with three homers, 11 runs scored and six RBI during the 16-game run, improving his batting average from .222 to .258 since his last hitless game on May 14. After a slow start to the season he is starting to finally live up to the hype. He'll look to keep things cooking on Wednesday against Felix Pena, although he might face an opener first.
