Ramon Laureano Scratched On Wednesday
3 years agoUpdating a previous report, Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (hand) has been scratched from the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners. Luis Barrera will now get the start in right field and hit ninth against Mariners left-hander Robbie Ray. Laureano will now miss his fourth straight game, although X-rays on his hand came back negative. The 27-year-old is hitting .167/.310/.250 with no homers, one RBI and two stolen bases in 16 games this year after getting a late start to the season due to a carried-over suspension from 2021. Barrera is hitting .316/.372/.474 in 15 games with a homer, six RBI and two stolen bases in 43 plate appearances, but he'll be merely a deep DFS sleeper in the nine-hole against a tough lefty starter.
