Ramon Laureano Should Return Early Next Week
4 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (side) was scratched from Wednesday's Cactus League game with left side soreness. After the game, manager Bob Melvin said Laureano should be back in games early next week, according to MLB.com's Martin Gallegos. The good news is Laureano will be back for the regular season. The bad news, for his fantasy stock anyway, is that Laureano was in the mix to bat leadoff and now will be sidelined for a few games. Mark Canha led off in Wednesday's game and is sporting a cool .440 on-base percentage this spring. Laureano posted 24 homers and 13 steals in 2019 so he's a nice power/speed combo to target near pick 150 overall, higher if he can seize the leadoff role for a good A's lineup.
