Rams, Matthew Stafford Finalize Contract Extension
3 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams and quarterback Matthew Stafford finalized a four-year, $160 million contract extension that includes $135 million guaranteed that should allow him to finish his career in Los Angeles, according to sources. Stafford will cash in after winning the Super Bowl in his first season in Los Angeles. He threw for 4,886 yards, 41 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in 17 regular season games in 2021 in his first year with the Rams. The 34-year-old developed excellent chemistry with receiver Cooper Kupp last season and will also have Allen Robinson II to throw to next season. Stafford will be a solid fallback option as a QB1 after the elite names come off the board in fantasy drafts.
