4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Randal Grichuk could see more action than expected early this season due to the injury to center-fielder George Springer (oblique). Originally, Grichuk looked like the odd man out with the starting outfield expected to be Lourdes Gurriel Jr., Teoscar Hernandez, and Springer. While the Jays have not announced a plan for Springer, it seems as though the club will err on the side of caution and he could miss at least the first series of the year in New York. Grichuk spent the majority of his time in center field last season and produced a 109 wRC+ with 12 home runs. Once Springer returns, Grichuk will likely rotate through the outfield and possibly see some time in the designated hitter role.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
