7 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Randal Grichuk (rib cage) is not playing in the spring game Sunday, but he will start swinging a bat in the cages. He could take batting practice on Monday if everything goes well, according to manager John Gibbons. The Jays are just taking every precaution here, so Grichuk should be ready for Opening Day. He's an intriguing fantasy case in 2018. He should see a clearer path to consistent playing time, and his power should play nicely in the friendly hitting confines of Rogers Centre.
