6 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Randal Grichuk has been on a tear since coming back from the disabled list in early June, but at least temporarily that tear has come to an end. In a 1-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday, Grichuk saw his six-game hitting streak snapped. In those six games, Grichuk slashed .417/.462/.750 with two home runs, two doubles, six runs scored and six RBI. You could say the time off did Grichuk, who was slashing .106/.208/.227 at the time of injury on April 30, some good. The Blue Jays outfield is a crowded one, but Grichuk needs to be in the lineup with the way he’s hitting.--John Smith
