Randall Cobb Adding Wrinkle To Offense
5 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Randall Cobb lined up at quarterback in the shotgun formation in practice Tuesday. He took some repetitions with the quarterbacks in individual drills to warm up. Cobb was a quarterback in college and has attempted two passes in the NFL. The news doesn't really add anything to his fantasy value, but it does speak to his roster security. He regressed after his breakout 2014 season, largely due to a myriad of injuries. There isn't a lot of depth behind star receiver Amari Cooper, and former Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley excelled at running short routes in space. Cobb is a back-end receiver for your fantasy squad that others might discount. There isn't enough there to call him a sleeper, but he could surprise in 2019.
