Randy Arozarena Absent From Friday’s Lineup Vs. Atlanta
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Braves. Heading into the All-Star break, the 26-year-old was in a 3-for-24 (.125) slump over his last seven games. The Rays are giving Arozarena another day off to clear his head and he will begin the second half of the season on the bench. The 2020 ALCS MVP is a five-category producer, slashing .251/.333/.400 with 10 homers, 41 RBI, 52 runs scored, and 11 stolen bases over 357 plate appearances in 2021. Brandon Lowe will shift to right field as Joey Wendle heads to second base for the series opener against Atlanta. Fantasy managers need to remove Arozarena from their lineups, but expect the Rays outfielder to return as a starter on Saturday.
