5 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Randy Dobnak will start Game 2 of the ALDS Saturday with Jake Odorizzi taking the ball in Game 3 Monday. Odorizzi was originally expected to start Game 2, but nothing was officially announced until Friday when Twins manager Rocco Baldelli confirmed the rookie will take the ball in Yankee Stadium. Dobnak pitched well across three levels sporting a 2.57 ERA in Double-A, a 2.15 ERA in Triple-A, and a 1.59 ERA in 28 1/3 Big League innings this season. Despite his success this year, pitching in the postseason will be a different test. He is not a strikeout pitcher, his highest strikeout rate at any Minor League level is 23.5 percent, and will face a potent Yankees lineup. His main appeal in DFS will be he should be the lowest owned pitcher on the slate.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
