Randy Dobnak Tosses Six Scoreless Innings
4 years agoMinnesota Twins pitcher Randy Dobnak threw six shutout innings on Wednesday against the Pirates, earning his second win of the season. Dobnak allowed just three hits and no runs while striking out one batter. The punch-out numbers are admittedly not superb- he has just eight in 15 innings this year- but he doesn't need those when he's allowed just one run all season. The best news of all is, manager Rocco Baldelli said that while nothing is guaranteed, Dobnak has given him no reason to remove him from the rotation anytime soon. His next scheduled outing is against the Brewers on August 10th.
