Ranger Suarez Continues To Thrive In Philly Rotation
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suarez had another strong start on Tuesday as the converted reliever has been a revelation in the rotation for Philly. Suarez shut down a good Rays lineup for 6 2/3 innings, allowing just one run on six hits while collecting seven strikeouts. The 25-year-old lefty threw a season-high 99 pitches in what was easily the longest outing of his career. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Suarez didn't get the offensive support for a win, but it's hard to complain about what Suarez has delivered thus far as he's sporting a 1.46 ERA, and a 1.02 WHIP across 61 2/3 innings. He should be added and started in all leagues ahead of a juicy matchup with the Diamondbacks on Sunday.
