Ranger Suarez K's Three Marlins To Earn Save On Friday
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher Ranger Suarez pitched a scoreless seventh inning to earn the save in the first game of Friday's doubleheader. Suarez allowed a two-out single to Joe Panik, but whiffed the other three Marlins he faced to pick up his third save this season. Suarez has earned the last three saves for Philly as he's been the only trustworthy arm in its beleaguered bullpen. The 25-year-old lefty is sporting a 0.75 ERA and a 0.75 WHIP with 38 strikeouts in 36 innings this season. Fantasy managers chasing saves should add Suarez if he's still available, as he's emerged as the top-closing option for Philadelphia.
