Ranger Suarez Silences Rockies Over Six Innings
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suarez allowed one run across six innings with six strikeouts in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Thursday. Unfortunately for Suarez and fantasy managers, the Phillies bullpen couldn't hold the lead, but it was another strong outing from the 25-year-old lefty. Suarez has now made eight starts since transitioning from closer to starter and he's allowed more than one run just once in those eight starts. Looking at just his last four starts, Suarez has allowed three runs total across 23 innings with 25 punchouts as he's established himself as a must-start fantasy option. He'll carry a pristine 1.38 ERA and 1.03 WHIP into another good matchup versus the Cubs on Wednesday.
