Ranger Suarez Struggles With Control In Loss At Arizona
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suarez allowed three runs on eight hits across 4 2/3 innings to take his fourth loss Wednesday at the Diamondbacks. Suarez came into the game with an elite WHIP thanks to a microscopic walk rate, but his command abandoned him in this one as he walked four in this game. The good news for Suarez is he threw a season-high 86 pitches as the former closer is built up to a normal starter's workload. He's still got good numbers on the season as the three runs he allowed were a season-high in any outing for him this season - as a starter or as a reliever. He should be rostered in 12-team fantasy leagues and larger despite a tough matchup next time out at home versus the Rays.
