Ranger Suarez Twirls Complete Game Shutout Versus Bucs
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suarez turned in his best effort of the season on Saturday as he threw a complete-game shutout versus the Pirates. Suarez scattered just four singles and didn't walk a batter while picking up seven strikeouts, needing only 97 pitches to go the distance. The 25-year-old lefty has been excellent in every role for the Phillies this season; he started the season in long relief before climbing the bullpen ranks and even picked up four saves as the closer. The Phillies moved him to the starting rotation and he's been superb as he became a must-start SP for fantasy. Suarez will carry a sparkling 1.45 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and a 98:32 K:BB into a huge game versus the Braves.
