6 years agoThe Texas Rangers have had internal discussions about approaching players like outfielders Joey Gallo, Nomar Mazara and pitcher Jose Leclerc about long-term contracts before Spring Training concludes. The team brought it up with the representation last spring, but talks didn't go very far. "It is something we have discussed internally," general manager Jon Daniels said. "I think the idea of keeping some of our young group together for a long period of time is appealing. It is a matter of finding a willing partner and finding common ground." Gallo and Leclerc have been going in the neighborhood of Rounds 9 through 11 in mixed, 5x5 scoring fantasy play, while Mazara has been going a couple of rounds after that. All are must-haves in AL-only formats, too.--Daniel Dobish
