6 years agoThe Texas Rangers are working with outfielder Nomar Mazara, trying to tweak his swing, manager Chris Woodward confirmed over the weekend. The organization wants him to improve upon his groundball rate of 55.1 percent, which was the sixth-highest in Major League Baseball in 2018. The management is preaching hand/stride separation, and also trying to focus on hitters looking for pitches in zones they can really do damage. If the Rangers are successful, Mazara could see a big bump in power heading into 2019 which fantasy owners certainly would enjoy. He could be quite the sleeper in the middle round on Draft Day in 5x5 fantasy formats.--Daniel Dobish
