Ravens Lacking In Pass-Rush Department
2 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens didn't do anything significant this offseason to immediately upgrade their pass rush off the edge. Second-round rookie David Ojabo could be a factor eventually, but he's also recovering from a mid-March Achilles tear. Tyus Bowser led the team in sacks in 2021, but he's questionable for the start of the season after he tore his Achilles in January. Baltimore will likely sign a veteran before training camp, and they expect a big second-year leap from Odafe Oweh. However, they still haven't done much to add an impact pass-rusher after Za'Darius Smith backed out of his free-agent deal. The Ravens defense was near the bottom of the league last year with 34 total sacks, and they could be near the bottom again this season.
