Ravens Release Tavon Young Wednesday
3 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens released cornerback Tavon Young on Wednesday. In his fourth season with Baltimore in 2021, Young recorded 35 tackles (30 solo), four tackles for loss, three QB hits, one interception, three passes defensed and two sacks in 17 games (seven starts). The Ravens will save $5.8 million in salary cap space with the move while leaving behind $3.3 million in dead money. The 27-year-old was a fourth-round pick by the Ravens in 2016 out of Temple. He should draw interest from cornerback-needy teams looking for a slot cornerback, but Young may need to sign a one-year, prove-it deal.
