2 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens plan to release safety Tony Jefferson, according to a source. The Ravens drafted Kyle Hamilton in the first round this offseason and also signed former New Orleans Saints standout Marcus Williams, leaving less opportunity for Jefferson, who had a strong preseason with nine tackles in one half in the finale last Saturday against the Washington Commanders. The 30-year-old veteran safety played in only six combined games with the Ravens and San Francisco 49ers last year, recording 18 tackles (nine solo), one sack and one pass defensed. Jefferson will be looking to latch on with another team as veteran defensive back depth before Week 1 arrives.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
