3 years agoAfter the Tampa Bay Rays traded outfielder Austin Meadows to the Detroit Tigers on Monday in exchange for infielder Isaac Paredes and a competitive-balance pick in this year's draft, the team will call up outfield prospect Josh Lowe to put him on the Opening Day roster, according to a source. Lowe is the team's No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, but he hit just .190 with two RBI and six strikeouts in eight Grapefruit League games this spring. The 24-year-old has 20-20 potential and should immediately become relevant in mixed fantasy leagues if he's playing every day in the big leagues. Paredes, 23, is likely to begin the year with Triple-A Durham, but he'll provide plenty of multi-positional versatility in the Rays organization in 2022 and beyond.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
