7 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays placed infielder Daniel Robertson (thumb) on the 10-day disabled list on Saturday with a left thumb sprain. In a corresponding move, infielder Brandon Lowe was recalled from Triple-A Durham. Robertson is mostly useful for his position versatility in AL-only leagues. He was hitting .262 with nine home runs and 34 RBI on the season. It's unknown how long his thumb injury will keep him out. Lowe could also be an interesting middle infield option for desperate AL-only owners, as he was hitting .297 with 22 home runs, 76 RBI and eight stolen bases over 100 games between Double-A Montgomery and Durham this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
