3 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays have placed starting pitcher Luis Patino (oblique) on the 10-day injured list due to a left oblique strain. The 22-year-old previously exited his first start of the season after just recording two outs. Last season the right-hander made 19 appearances for Tampa Bay, including 15 starts. He pitched to a 4.31 ERA and a 4.51 FIP in 77.1 innings of work while recording 74 strikeouts and 29 walks. Reliever JT Chargois was also placed on the injured list with right-handers Tommy Romero and Ralph Garza Jr. being recalled from the minors to join the active roster.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
