6 years agoThe Boston Red Sox have added to their rotational depth on Tuesday morning as they acquired Nathan Eovaldi from the Tampa Bay Rays for lefty Jalen Beeks. Eovaldi has been decent this year with a 3-4 record and 4.26 ERA through 10 starts. He has been particularly good against right-handed batters as they are only batting .207 against him. The Red Sox had to do something to bolster their rotation with Eduardo Rodriguez and Steven Wright toiling on the disabled list. Eovaldi projects to immediately slide into the rotation, but once the aforementioned pitchers are healthy his claim to a rotation spot becomes a bit murkier. Regardless, he should be a speculative add for those in deeper leagues as he now gets to pitch in front of the best team in the American League.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
