Red Sox Will Try To Re-Sign Kyle Schwarber
3 years agoSpeaking to reporters at the general manager meetings, including MLB Network's Jon Heyman, Boston Red Sox chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom said the team will try to re-sign outfielder and first baseman Kyle Schwarber. Acquired in a mid-season trade with the Washington Nationals, Schwarber batted .291 with a .435 on-base percentage and seven home runs in 168 plate appearances for Boston during the regular season. Overall, the veteran hit .266 with a .374 on-base percentage, 32 home runs, and a stolen base in 471 plate appearances split between the Red Sox and Washington Nationals.
