7 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds have finalized their starting rotation coming out of Spring Training. The team will go with Homer Bailey, Luis Castillo, Tyler Mahle, and Sal Romano with either Amir Garrett or Brandon Finnegan waiting in the wings as the fifth starter. Cincinnati isn't expected to need a fifth starter at least until April 11. While the team hasn't made an official announcement, it is widely expected that veteran Homer Bailey will be the team's Opening Day starter. Bailey has never drawn an Opening Day start, despite being the longest tenured starter in the rotation. He has struggled this spring, posting a 9.00 ERA in 12 innings of work. Cincinnati optioned Robert Stephenson and Jackson Stephens to Triple-A on Thursday as they work towards getting their roster cut down to 25 players.--Matt T - RotoBaller
