2 years agoThere is some speculation in the industry that the Cincinnati Reds might choose to hang on to starting pitcher Luis Castillo, but talent evaluators said Thursday that the Reds are still proceeding full steam ahead in the process of trading the All-Star right-hander, who is widely viewed as the best available starter ahead of next Tuesday's trade deadline. Castillo is being linked to the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees, among other teams, and his fantasy stock would receive a nice boost if he's dealt to a contender. The 29-year-old Dominican is currently 4-4 with a 2.86 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 90 strikeouts and 28 walks in 85 innings over 14 starts for Cincinnati this year. He's gone at least seven innings in each of his four starts in July and has allowed six earned runs in 28 innings over that span.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
