Reds Reinstate Jonathan India From Injured List
3 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds reinstated second baseman Jonathan India (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and added infielder Matt Reynolds to the active roster. The Reds also optioned infielder Alejo Lopez to Triple-A and designated infielder/outfielder JT Riddle for assignment. India, last year's National League Rookie of the Year, landed on the injured list last Tuesday with a right hamstring strain, but he made good progress in his recovery and is back at the keystone and hitting leadoff on Tuesday against San Diego Padres right-hander Joe Musgrove. The 25-year-old has gotten off to a slow start this year with only seven hits in his first 30 plate appearances with no home runs and two RBI, so fantasy managers may want to keep him benched until he gets back into a groove.
