Redskins Confident In Dwayne Haskins
5 years agoWashington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. was given a vote of confidence by new head coach Ron Rivera in an interview with The Sports Junkies Thursday morning. Rivera said drafting Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa at number two overall was never a real option, mentioning they feel good about what they saw from Haskins last season. While Haskins occasionally flashed the talent that made him a top-15 pick in 2019’s draft, he also had his struggles. In nine games, he threw just seven touchdowns to go with seven interceptions while completing less than 60 percent of his passes. He’ll need to show improvement in year two to be more than a QB2 for fantasy.
