Redskins Defense Collapses In Second Half Against Philly
5 years agoThe Washington Redskins Defense held Carson Wentz and the Eagles to seven points in the first half, but that success would be short-lived. The Eagles scored 25 unanswered points in the second half en route to a 32-27 victory. The Redskins allowed Wentz to throw for 313 yards and three touchdowns, and they permitted the Eagles ground game to rack up 124 combined yards among a handful of different rushers. Washington forced no turnovers. After such a promising first half, this was not the way the Redskins wanted to end the first week of the 2019 season. Things don't figure to get any easier in Week 2 against the Cowboys.
